Mamta Singh

My name is Mamta Singh, I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, 4 year old Serophina and 1 year old Saioa. They keep me on my toes and between the two of them, there is never a dull moment in our house. I am originally from Dallas, Texas but have lived in amazing places such as Alaska, Hawaii and now Coastal North Carolina. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and thought we lived pretty adventurous lives until we became parents! I consider myself a foodie, always open to new and different culinary experiences. If I could live at a Starbucks, I would. I am a terrible procrastinator but deep down I’m a meticulous organizer. I enjoy my job as CEO of my household but before that I was a Corporate Educator for Blue Cross Blue Shield Hawaii. I was very fortunate to have the option of staying at home with my daughters and now receive my paycheck in the form of hugs & kisses! Some other things I love: travel, reading, live music, planning parties and spending quality time with friends and family! Like other moms, I do my best to provide a healthy, stimulating and loving environment for my kids and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you!

Angel Story

That's me in the picture holding Serophina when she was just a few days old.

This story was given to me when Serophina was born. It’s decorated on a canvas with a picture of me holding her. It’s always been on her bedroom wall and it’s a story that I’ve always loved and wanted to share with you.

“They tell me you are sending me to earth soon but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?”

Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be …

Mama Confrontations

It was like this but with more kids!

Ahhh, as I reminisce about this story I’m about to tell, my heart is not filled with warm and fuzzy thoughts, but rather internal giggles at how petty some people are.

Let me just give you some background about me, I DON’T like confrontation. It’s not very often I have issues with people that would put me in a confrontational situation in the first place, but even so I would just do my best to avoid, avoid, avoid!

We were at the mall recently, in the children’s soft play area and it was so crowded with kids that it was almost …

Breast Is Best But It’s Getting Old

This stuff can be a weary mom's best friend.

Saioa recently had her four-month checkup and I’m happy to say that she’s growing beautifully, as happy and healthy as can be. During her appointment, the Pediatrician asked how long I was planning to breastfeed for. I told him that because I’m a stay at home mom, I was willing to nurse for as long as it is recommended. We went over some things and my conclusion in regards to breastfeeding is this: I definitely am planning to breastfeed exclusively until she’s six months old. After six months, I’ll start supplementing with baby foods and other solids. I’d like …
