Mamta Singh

My name is Mamta Singh, I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, 4 year old Serophina and 1 year old Saioa. They keep me on my toes and between the two of them, there is never a dull moment in our house. I am originally from Dallas, Texas but have lived in amazing places such as Alaska, Hawaii and now Coastal North Carolina. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and thought we lived pretty adventurous lives until we became parents! I consider myself a foodie, always open to new and different culinary experiences. If I could live at a Starbucks, I would. I am a terrible procrastinator but deep down I’m a meticulous organizer. I enjoy my job as CEO of my household but before that I was a Corporate Educator for Blue Cross Blue Shield Hawaii. I was very fortunate to have the option of staying at home with my daughters and now receive my paycheck in the form of hugs & kisses! Some other things I love: travel, reading, live music, planning parties and spending quality time with friends and family! Like other moms, I do my best to provide a healthy, stimulating and loving environment for my kids and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you!

Toys That Are Definitely Not Toys

My house literally looks like Toys R Us.  When you walk in, you are immediately in what used to be my living room, but is now Sayle-central.  Toys. Are. Everywhere! You would think with as many toys as he has, he wouldn’t find appliances, plants, and electronics as amusing as he does, but apparently a dishwasher has nothing on Elmo.  The following random objects/appliances/household items are Sayle’s favorites.  Read about Sayle’s friend Isaac’s favorite non-toys here.

Household Plants-There is nothing like plucking leaves or stems from a plant and then shoving them in your mouth!  Not only are plants tasty, Sayle also enjoys digging in the potted dirt, especially when it’s spread …

Musical Baby-Video Post

To Sayle’s dismay, he has to spend a few minutes in his “pack and play” while I complete tasks such as showering, vacuuming, or anything else that keeps me from completely supervising him.  He has recently decided he hates the “pack and play” since it is confining and only has toys that he is allowed to play with in it.

While I couldn’t help the fact that the “pack and play” was confining, I was determined to find something Sayle would enjoy playing with while being confined.  Ultimately, the best toys are not toys at all and he had a blast playing with regular household items.  Thanks to a wooden spoon and cake pan, we have found that little Sayle is quite musically inclined!…
