And now, the Celtics’ new star forward Isaac Moore steals the ball and makes a sweet 3 pointer. This rookie may only be 3 feet tall, but he’s got game!
Yeah, but I can dream, ok? (:
Chris recently taught Isaac how to dunk a basketball in the front yard (with a little help, of course), and now the kid is all about it.

SWISH! Nothing but net!
“Basketball, basketball, basketball!” is repeated constantly until anyone taller than him gives in and hoists Isaac up to make his shot.
Of course it’s cute to watch, and I am happy that my son is getting interested in sports. As you all know …
Scenario: Your child is at the top of a steep slide, looking frightened and refusing to move.
Do you:
A) Run up the stairs on the other side of the playground to get to said slide and go down with your child, ensuring a safe ride?
And risk taking my eyes of Isaac for even one nanosecond? I think not.
B) Wait at the bottom and try to coax your child to slide down, regardless of the impatient line forming behind him?

Yikes, that is a long way down, HELP!
Yeah right, we all know the stubbornness of a toddler…it could take years!
C) Try to climb up the slide to reach …
“Hello, my name is Grammie and I am a toy hoarder.”
“Hi Grammie,” choruses the imaginary support group.
“It all began when my first grandchild was born, well actually before that, pretty much as soon as my eldest daughter became pregnant. Ever since then I have been unable to control my toy collecting impulses. Every thrift store beckons, every garage sale whispers comes hither, and every toy store coupon has my name on it. I just can’t stop myself!”

And this is even somewhat cleaned up!
Other members of TBA (toy buyers anonymous) nod with understanding and encouragement.
Alright, my mother is not like those crazies on that A&E show aptly …
Wouldn’t it be nice if moms had business cards of our own?
Look at it this way — raising a child or children and running a household and maybe even working as well is definitely the mother of all businesses, right?
Don’t we deserve cute little cards with our info and whatnot on it, among other things?
I was thinking about this the other day at the playground as I contemplated asking another mom for her number, first date style…or rather playdate, haha (:
You all know how I think making new Mommy friends is harder than getting a date, and way more intimidating!
I don’t always have a pen and paper handy, …
It seems I have been guilty of a common mother (especially first time mother) activity I call child perfectionism or simply “my child is perfect.”

Read the shirt -- yes I am a "super kid!"
Before Isaac was born I was adamantly against this, but I did not realize the power your own kids can have over you. It was easy when Isaac was a belly bump, but once he was born it was all over. Just look at those darling little newborn eyes! Resistance is futile!
Repeat after me: Isaac is the smartest, cutest, sweetest, silliest, overall awesome-est baby …
Hooray for friends! Isaac has finally graduated from parallel play (playing side by side but not really together) to actual play and I love it (:
Now instead of simply sitting near other toddlers and babies and doing his own thing, my little social butterfly is all over the other kids. He gets all up in their personal space, hoots and hollers, and even occasionally shares his toys, which is by no means a small feat for a 2-year-old!

Reading a car book together, 2 peas in a pod!
Isaac’s favorite new pal is a little boy about his age named Carter, who coincidentally has a similar obsession with …
