Mamta Singh

My name is Mamta Singh, I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, 4 year old Serophina and 1 year old Saioa. They keep me on my toes and between the two of them, there is never a dull moment in our house. I am originally from Dallas, Texas but have lived in amazing places such as Alaska, Hawaii and now Coastal North Carolina. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and thought we lived pretty adventurous lives until we became parents! I consider myself a foodie, always open to new and different culinary experiences. If I could live at a Starbucks, I would. I am a terrible procrastinator but deep down I’m a meticulous organizer. I enjoy my job as CEO of my household but before that I was a Corporate Educator for Blue Cross Blue Shield Hawaii. I was very fortunate to have the option of staying at home with my daughters and now receive my paycheck in the form of hugs & kisses! Some other things I love: travel, reading, live music, planning parties and spending quality time with friends and family! Like other moms, I do my best to provide a healthy, stimulating and loving environment for my kids and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you!

Joshua and the Animals

When Nathan was little, he was obsessed with cars. And not just cars – fire trucks, ambulances, trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, trains, and pretty much anything else with wheels was a favorite of his. He would get so excited when we were driving around and he’d spot some cool truck or something. Given that half of Jacksonville is under construction at any given moment, there was a lot for him to see. It was great! Emily was also a great little sister and got excited about whatever Nathan was excited about.

Until recently, Joshua hadn’t shown any particular preferences, other than food. Even there, it was a love of all food, nothing …

Time to go Toy Shopping!

Her favorite toy of the evening...

Recently, Braylin and I went to a play date with friends from my husband’s battalion. B was the youngest little personthere, but she didn’t mind! She played and played with the other kids. The others mostly took stuff away from her, but she just shook it off and found another toy.

She played more on that evening than ever before (literally). I’m not sure if it was because of the other children (there were five) or if it was because of all the different toys that were at her disposal. The little boy that lives at the house where we hosted …

Think Pink

What do a little pink tiger key chain, a pink dog collar, and 3 pink fluffy pink bunnies all have in common?

Yup, these are on Isaac’s list of things he adores, that, coincidentally, are all the color pink.  Not the most manly of shades, but once I find a toddler size “real men wear pink” graphic tee, we are golden.

As I have mentioned before in past posts, whatever Isaac chooses to be, or whom he chooses to love, or anything else in his life, I will support no matter what. So all the seriousness aside, I think my sweet little son snuggling pink bunny rabbits is hilarious (:

Eye Of The Tiger

Tigers are amazing creatures.  Not only are they beautiful and endangered, they are also ruthless hunters, they love the water, and their stripes are like fingerprints, as no two patterns are the same.  Oh, and their cubs chirp like birds to call their mother, so cute!

I have loved tigers for quite a while, and before Isaac came along, his nursery was the guest room/ “tiger sanctuary.”  It was full of posters, photos, toys, figurines, etc. of my favorite animal.  Ok, it may have been a tad obsessive, but it was a cool room while it lasted.

Apparently Isaac is a fan of tigers as …
