15 months already!
A few days ago, Braylin woke up with a nasty cough and a runny nose. Ryan and I agreed that we had never heard her sound like that before and we should call the doctor. I went ahead and made an appointment for that morning to get everything checked out so that we could get back to our move as quickly as possible.
We checked in at the pediatric clinic and took a seat away from everyone else in hopes that the kiddos wouldn’t share germs with one another. When we got back to see the …

These are loud socks.
Brooke’s post “Sayle was here” inspired me to write about some marks that are left around our house that let you know a child lives here.
First I’ll start with stickers. The stickers seem to be popping up everywhere, stuck to things in the most unexpected places. It doesn’t even surprise me anymore when I see them. Like when I sat down in the car and saw a sticker on the steering wheel. Or when I go to open the dishwasher and there’s a row of butterfly stickers across the front.
I have a little girl that loves stickers and she can never have …

There's a lot to be happy about!
I’ve kept a journal ever since I can remember. It’s always been like therapy to me and I like feeling light inside after I’ve unloaded everything onto paper. Every now and then I’ll run across an old journal and read through all the entries. Suddenly she comes into our room talking about how a man was knocking at the door so she opened it and he asked for her mom or dad. At first I was a little confused because I would never dream that she would ever answer the door to a stranger without coming to us first! But that’s exactly what happened! I followed her to the front door and sure enough there was a man …

I love my ducklings.
They say that being a Mother is the hardest job on earth, when it’s done right. More and more I have to agree with that statement.
Serophina is a bright and energetic little girl and I’m finding it harder and harder to keep up with her! Just like any kid, she has the stamina that would put any Olympic athlete to shame. Thank God she goes to preschool twice a week, because I think she would get really bored at home with me all the time.
I don’t let her watch too much TV. for several reasons. The first one, obviously being that it’s just not …
