Maeve has a tooth! It broke the skin a couple weeks ago and is slowly making its way out. I think its mate, the other bottom-front tooth, is right under the skin and will soon make a debut appearance as well. It’s about that time in Maeve’s life when she begins to eat more baby food. When I say more, I mean more types of food and larger quantities, too, yet she remains relatively uninterested in any food at all. When dinner time rolls around, Maeve sits in her high chair. She’s moderately excited to eat, takes a bite or two of what little baby food I provide for her, and …

I hope B doesn't have to live her life in a bubble...
I am allergic to several things. The worst of those things is grass, hay, etc. Ryan is not allergic to anything (he claims to have a peanut allergy, but in all honesty, he just doesn’t like them). When I was pregnant, Ryan said, “I hope our baby isn’t allergic to everything the way you are.” Thanks, sweetheart!
Despite my allergies, I don’t have any food allergies. I have always felt sorry for people that have food allergies. What a horrible thing to have to check ingredients on labels and avoid certain foods like the plague.
Well surprise, …

It happens every time I walk through the grocery store. I get that itch. I go down the baby row and I just stand there and stare at all the fun little baby food. All the meals and snacks call my name for me to buy them and try them out. All the jars reach out for me to take them home. I always see all these cute moms feeding their adorable babies wearing bibs, making airplane noise and wiping their messy mouths with the spoon. I want to be that mom! I want to feed my baby! Sometimes I give in and I load my cart up with …
I LOVE strawberries. I could eat them all day long, no joke. They may very well be the greatest fruit ever “invented!”
We journeyed to a local farmer’s market last weekend for a fun, food-filled adventure, and I was in strawberry heaven! All fresh and organic and delicious!
After sampling one to make sure it was yummy (ha ha yeah right it was just because I couldn’t resist any longer!) I offered a beautiful red fruit to Isaac, who was eyeballing them hungrily.

Gimme that strawberry!
He chowed down! I thought at first my son might want to lick it or grab it, but no, he just stuffed the whole …
“Mrs. Moore, did you know that your son is only in the 5th percentile of other babies his age for his weight?”
What I heard was “There is something wrong with your son; how did you not notice he was so tiny? Are you feeding him at all???”

My little pipsqueak
Sure I had noticed that Isaac was smaller than the other babies at daycare, but then again he was younger too, so I didn’t think much of it at that point.
Normally comments roll right off my back, like “wow I can’t believe he is not crawling yet” and “what a pretty little girl.” I know the speaker means …
I have blogged about Sayle’s furry BFF before, but if you don’t remember, our miniature pinscher Foster is truly Sayle’s buddy.
When we brought Sayle home from the hospital, Foster turned into Baby Guard Dog and that still holds true a year later. Foster brings Sayle his ball and Sayle throws it for him. They play tug of war, and the game gets pretty intense until Foster pulls Sayle over. Foster allows Sayle to pull up on him and yank his fur, ears, and legs and Foster tolerates Sayle’s “petting” which is really slapping with love. Also, Foster serves as my ears in the early morning when I don’t respond to Sayle’s cries fast enough. If Sayle starts to fuss …
