As the weather gets cooler and the season is filled with my favorite flavors of pumpkin and spice I look to a mom group for motivation. It is amazing that that the park can be filled with great exercise for the girls and me. I have been fortunate to meet other moms at the park that are part of a great workout group. As the girls get older they can now join me with my yoga workouts. It warms my heart and I am really looking forward to the ab group challenge this week. I use to love doing abs, but with my abdominal surgeries have found it really hard to do them. A little motivation goes a long way.
It is funny here in the south I get more motivated to work out I. The fall with the cooler weather and less bugs. I am so excited to step into fall with both feet and hopefully come out lighter.
Here are a few tricks I do with my kids so we can workout together.
1- use the stroller even if they can walk and ride your bike so you can go further.
2- have your kids cheer you on
3- include them with abs, stretches, push ups
4- have them count
5- put the music on and have them dance.
6- distract them in another room if you need to.
7- get your partner involved.
8- take turns ” being the coach”
9- get in a routine
10- make it fun for all!
