Ashley Mozingo

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, and I am a stay at home mom to two girls, Paislee, 3 and Keely, 1. My husband is in the Coast Guard, and is currently stationed at a Coast Guard unit on Camp Lejune. We have been married for five years now and have spent two of those years in Alaska, where Paislee was born, and two in Maine, where we had Keely. We were lucky to get stationed here in 2012, and call North Carolina "home". We were both born and raised in different cities in eastern North Carolina, and we are super excited to get to spend some time here with our girls and introduce them to some of our favorite places that we had as children. Before I met my husband, I attended East Carolina University, where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Communications. I have a love for writing, and a huge passion for being a mom, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write about my experiences and exciting moments of this rocky ride that we all call 'Motherhood'.

Farewell Blog

I started blogging with Momtalk over a year ago and it has been a great journey. I have learned a lot from fellow moms and hope I have helped other along the way. My hope was to spread parenting info., resource discuss community events and to help create a support for parents. It is a tough job that is never ending and constantly changing. I always wanted to add a little humor to my pieces but wasn’t always able to do so. To recap my favorite blog…I am Pink!…my daughter was telling me about another little girl and was describing her and said she was black, meaning her hair color. I told I thought it was interesting her description and asked what color she was? She said, with certainty, ” I am pink! ” I hope all of you are having memorable conversations with your children. I am so happy I could document mine.

Unfortunately my time with Mom Talk is coming to an end. It has been a great journey with all of you. I have welcomed new family members, discussed finances, we laughed, we cried, but most of all I hope it was a great resource for all of you. I will truly miss capturing my weekly adventures. It was a great stress reliever. I was always amazed at how much material my children would come up for me, 850 words a week! I thank everyone for reading my blog and I look forward to finding another platform for my blogs. It won’t be the same without Momtalk in my life!
