Mama Confrontations
Ahhh, as I reminisce about this story I’m about to tell, my heart is not filled with warm and fuzzy thoughts, but rather internal giggles at how petty some people are.
Let me just give you some background about me, I DON’T like confrontation. It’s not very often I have issues with people that would put me in a confrontational situation in the first place, but even so I would just do my best to avoid, avoid, avoid!
We were at the mall recently, in the children’s soft play area and it was so crowded with kids that it was almost dangerous to be in there unless you were sitting down or running around at lightning speed like how these kids were. I was sitting on the benches that lined the play area, watching Serophina play. No one was sitting next to me for a while, and then another mom, who seemed about my age came and sat down.
The kids were still running amuck and Serophina, by now, had made a couple friends and they were playing a game of chase. She ran around the soft play structure right past me and lost her balance and accidentally bumped into the lady that was sitting next to me. Really, she just knocked her boot. I didn’t think anything of it. By this time, a couple other kids had been bumping into me as well, but that’s what happens in a crowded children’s play area.
Well, Serophina bumped into the lady a second time and ran off to continue playing. The lady let out a big “OW!” and turned to me and gave me a face like “your kid just ran into me and you’re not going to say anything?” I was shocked! Little did I know this was only the beginning and I was about to live out an episode of Real Housewives.
Stay tuned to part 2 of my story!
