Thankful
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I started thinking about all the things for which I’m thankful. Here are some of the highlights, in no particular order –
- The lovely weather we’ve been having lately – I think I’ve only worn my coat once this season!
- Joshua’s textbook arrival and health
- My station wagon which not only has enough room for all three kids and trunk space to go to Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart in the same trip but also has power locks and windows and keyless entry, all firsts for me
- Nap time – all three kids take their afternoon naps at the same time which means two whole hours to myself every day!
- Living so close to the beach and the water – I love, love, love the water. My dream home is somewhere right on the water.
- Repeat c-sections – Joshua was no small baby at 9 lbs, 12 oz
- My husband’s job which allows me to stay home with our little ones
- Emily’s hugs, snuggles, and smiles
- That my parents are only a short drive away – it’s nice to have grandparents relatively close
- Nathan’s willingness to help and his imagination
- My education which would allow me to work in my chosen field if I ever needed or wanted to again
- Joshua figuring out his day sleep – HALLELUJAH!!!
- Most importantly – my family! I’m so grateful for all three of our children. Every mom is biased, but I’m pretty sure my kids are totally awesome. I’m also so grateful for Chad who patiently puts up with me and my idiosyncrasies and still loves me.
What are you thankful for this season?

Great post, Brynn! I completely second the lovely weather – we have been so lucky!
