Shopping Cart Cover
I have to admit I used to think that the padded shopping cart cover made for babies was excessive. Why can’t the baby just sit right in the cart? Is it really necessary to pad all the surfaces that baby touches? I grew up sitting in the shopping cart and I turned out okay.
So you can probably see where this blog is headed, yes, I got a padded shopping cart cover this week. I don’t want my baby touching the handle that who knows who has been touching. He has his hands in his mouth all the time and I don’t want to imagine the kind of germs he could pick up from the handle. Also, the padding is really necessary right now as he sometimes falls over unexpectedly.
The cover I got has straps that go over his shoulders so it really helps him to sit up to have that extra support. As an added benefit, it can be used in a high chair as well. Just this week I have used it 4 times! I feel better knowing I can wash it and try to keep Owen protected from germs and safe from bumps and bruises.
So I have to apologize for my thinking these were excessive and unnecessary, I love my shopping cart cover!
Do you use the shopping cart cover? Why or why not?

Don’t feel bad about covers, especially after watching Oprah today… how many times do people pick their nose a day? And then proceed to touch things like shopping carts!? Ewwww!
