Stuffed Animal Invasion
Baby Saioa is growing bigger and bigger by the minute and as time goes by we find ourselves making more frequent trips to the attic to bring things down that she’s old enough to use now. Our most recent retrieves were the high chair, the Johnny jumper and a giant bag full of stuffed animals. I remember how happy I was the day that I had packed them all up, excited about all the new space it would create in Serophina’s room.
We have a special attachment with each one of her stuffed animals. Most of them were given to her as gifts and I know exactly when, where and from whom she received them.
She loved each one of them through her baby and toddler years and shortly after she turned three, I decided it was time to put all those animals away to make room for all the other big-girl toys she was getting.
So, back to the point, I got down a giant bag of stuffed animals this past weekend and while it brought back many fond memories, they also had me wondering where I was going to put them all! Saioa’s room is not big enough to house all that stuffing.
I looked online for creative stuffed animal storage and found some very fun ways to store all those teddy bears. Apparently, I’m not the only one who has a million stuffed animals.
There was one contraption called the “Zoo” it looked like an actual animal cage that you would find at the zoo except the bars were elastic so you could easily pull out your choice of stuffed animals whenever you wanted. It’s a very cool storage piece but also very costly at $170.
Another one I saw was basically a beanbag but without the beans. You stuff all your animals in there, then zip it up and sit on it like a beanbag! This was at a more reasonable price so I’ll probably get that one averaging at about $60 on Amazon.
Do your kids have gazillion stuffed animals like mine do? How do you keep them tamed?
