Mamta Singh

My name is Mamta Singh, I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, 4 year old Serophina and 1 year old Saioa. They keep me on my toes and between the two of them, there is never a dull moment in our house. I am originally from Dallas, Texas but have lived in amazing places such as Alaska, Hawaii and now Coastal North Carolina. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and thought we lived pretty adventurous lives until we became parents! I consider myself a foodie, always open to new and different culinary experiences. If I could live at a Starbucks, I would. I am a terrible procrastinator but deep down I’m a meticulous organizer. I enjoy my job as CEO of my household but before that I was a Corporate Educator for Blue Cross Blue Shield Hawaii. I was very fortunate to have the option of staying at home with my daughters and now receive my paycheck in the form of hugs & kisses! Some other things I love: travel, reading, live music, planning parties and spending quality time with friends and family! Like other moms, I do my best to provide a healthy, stimulating and loving environment for my kids and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you!

Temper Tantrum Worthy-Video Post

The situations that warrant Sayle’s temper tantrums and the intensity of the tantrums depend on several variables; how bad he wanted to play with whatever object was removed from his hands/grasp, how fun the activity was that he was removed from, and the extent that he disagrees with a decision made for him.  He has a tantrum if he isn’t ready to go to sleep as we start walking to his room at night.  His tantrums range from mini to full blown if I don’t let him play in the water dish (I’m sure you guys caught the small tantrum in the video).  But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will throw him into a tantrum faster than bringing him in the house if he has been playing outside and isn’t ready to come in.

Please see the enclosed video of one of Sayle’s tantrums.  This particular tantrum ranks about a 7 out of 10 on the tantrum scale.  Please keep in mind that we were playing outside for easily an hour and a half before we brought him in eat and take a bath.

Ohhhh my gosh!! Hunter has now started reaching for the door handle to go outside and when I tell him no,he THROWS his whole body on the ground…sometimes, on his belly kicking his feet with arms wailin or sometimes he will throw his head back onto the ground (keep in mind, we have hard wood so he then gets mad cuz he has hurt his head)

HA HA Kari!!! You know he is “so mean for making Sayle come inside!”

Cheryl-you are so not alone–and I’m glad to know that I am not alone! I will send Sayle over to your house for temper tantrum time next time; he and Beau can scream it out together!

Nichole-That sounds like quite a tantrum, that must be caught on video! Sayle hasn’t resorted to throwing himself on the floor, it is just the immediate scream so hard no noise comes out. If he does start throwing himself on the floor I will be posting that immediately!

Rylee’s little tantrums, when you pick him up to go elsewhere or to remove him from a situation, consists of his whole body going limp. His arms go straight in the air and he bows his back, which could make it very easy for him to slip right out of your grasp (so he could escape)… all the while he’s screaming bloody murder. LOL Maybe I need to get his mommy to video that sometime… to show Rylee one day! :)

HA HA! I think you guys should totally video tape it so when Rylee is older and says “I never acted that way” you can show him exactly how he acted with a touch of a button!
