Life According to Serophina
Kids say the funniest things, which is always a sweet reminder of their age and innocence. I love to hear Serophina’s point of view on things and get a glimpse of what goes on in that little mind of hers.
Here are some of her insightful moments from this past week:
In response to me getting out the fiber bran cereal for her to eat for breakfast, she takes it from my hand. “No mom, not this one.” She hands it back to me and says, “Just put it away, put it where you can’t reach it.”
Her favorite place these days is Monkey Joe’s and she’s always thinking of new ways to get us to take her there. When I tell her we can’t go because it’s too far (three hours from here) she says “It’s not too far! You just go straight, then go left then take a right. The GBS (GPS) will lead us there.”
On the history channel we were watching a program about the Titanic, this was Serophina’s take on it:
“That ship went down, down, down into the ocean and all the people starting falling back and back and back until they fell into the water?”
Me: “Yes, isn’t that sad?”
Her: “Yes. They got covered in all the animals poop and pee.”
She also likes to lay pillows on the ground then jump onto them from the back of the couch. I could see from the corner of my eye what she was about to do and reminded her that she’s not allowed to. She, of course, had the perfect solution: “It’s ok mom, just turn your head away for a second and I promise you won’t see me do it.”
What kind of things do your kids say that make you laugh?
