Mamta Singh

My name is Mamta Singh, I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, 4 year old Serophina and 1 year old Saioa. They keep me on my toes and between the two of them, there is never a dull moment in our house. I am originally from Dallas, Texas but have lived in amazing places such as Alaska, Hawaii and now Coastal North Carolina. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and thought we lived pretty adventurous lives until we became parents! I consider myself a foodie, always open to new and different culinary experiences. If I could live at a Starbucks, I would. I am a terrible procrastinator but deep down I’m a meticulous organizer. I enjoy my job as CEO of my household but before that I was a Corporate Educator for Blue Cross Blue Shield Hawaii. I was very fortunate to have the option of staying at home with my daughters and now receive my paycheck in the form of hugs & kisses! Some other things I love: travel, reading, live music, planning parties and spending quality time with friends and family! Like other moms, I do my best to provide a healthy, stimulating and loving environment for my kids and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you!

Shark Bait!

What’s better than a bathtub full of rubber duckies and whales?

An aquarium full of real fish and other sea creatures, of course!

Back in December the aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores had one of their free admission days, so you know I was all over that, being the money saving queen that I am.  I am always on the prowl for free or low cost fun activities in the area, and I had been keeping tabs on the aquarium for months (:

Isaac absolutely loved it!  He was only four and a half months at the time and I wasn’t sure if he would really comprehend all the neat things at the aquarium, but my little guy wanted to climb in the tanks and pet the fish, as you can see.  Little did he know that this exotic lion fish is poisonous, oh well.

The sharks were also a big hit with all three of us.  We held our son up against the shark tank and he tried to grab the sharks as they swam by and giggled like crazy…maybe a future Jacques Cousteau?

Chris and I had as much fun as Issac, which was nice.  I had never been to this aquarium before but had heard good things, and I was very impressed.  They even had a large hands-on area for the kids to touch rays and starfish and other small and harmless sea animals.

Of course this worried mama would not let Isaac dip his little hands in the kids tank because that slippery baby ray might have had rabies (A ray with rabies, get it?  Haha ok not funny) or that sweet little starfish might have been a vicious killer!  However, I did let him play in the big shark teeth…

Anyone know any other fun and educational places to take our little cuddlebugs?

too cute! I love the pics and the reassurance that taking your baby places can be a hit with them, no matter the age!

Thanks Ronnie, I was so happy that he got into it as much as Chris and I did, haha. I bet Elijah and Hartlynn would have blast as well!
